DisplayDNA Beta 1 — under active development

This portable package works on Windows, macOS and Linux with Python 3.10+.
It needs no Python packages or internet connection to run the browser dashboard.
It includes only application source and synthetic demo fixtures, not personal history.

1. Extract the entire ZIP before opening a launcher.
2. Install Python 3.10+ if needed: https://www.python.org/downloads/
3. Windows: double-click Start DisplayDNA.bat.
macOS: open Start DisplayDNA.command, or run: sh "Start DisplayDNA.command"
Linux: open a terminal here and run: sh "Start DisplayDNA.sh"
4. Your browser opens the local dashboard in LIVE mode.
5. Keep the terminal open while monitoring. Ctrl+C stops the application.

To use synthetic data instead:
   python3 packaging/launch.py --demo
On Windows use:
   py -3 packaging\launch.py --demo

History is stored locally in your user account, outside this extracted folder.
Read README.md for default data locations, permissions and coverage.

The Mac Apple Silicon standalone app is a separate download and includes Python.
This beta is unsigned and unnotarized. It may be blocked by system security checks.
There is no installer, updater, telemetry or automatic download of dependencies.

The tool records display and capture-related metadata. It never captures screens
or reads clipboard contents. File/app indicators are partial; optional clipboard
format monitoring is off by default. Configure these checks in Coverage & settings.
The Peek-o-Meter scores observed concern, not exam clearance or system cleanliness.
Missing telemetry does not mean no recording; anomalies do not establish misconduct.
EDID cannot reliably identify downstream capture hardware.
